Has anybody gone on to their Gmail account today? I tried going to it to clear up some messages because I normally use outlook Express and I found it only had a flash movie thing and no links. I couldn't find the basic html link.

Hmm, I just used it after coming here. Not sure. It worked for me, so that's weird.

I went back on it 1 more time just to make sure I'm not going crazy or something. And I'm not.

Looks normal to me. Found the basic html link and everything.

So I am going crazy. It works in firefox but not in IE. Why?.

Tested in both IE (version 7) and Firefox. Seems fine... very weird that it's not working on your end.

Good question but I've been using gmail and jfw 8 sense april of this year. It's still giving me that flash media thing.

Try clicking one of the buttons when it happens and see what it does.

No no no no Jeannie you're not crazy you're genius. Smile!
First you need to repair jaws.
Second insert XP cd and choose install optional windows components then select internet explorer by checking the box and press next.
Third go to add or remove and remove toolbars.
HTH!

Problem solved, after 8 months. Don't have jaws hide inline frames because it can hide some stuff on web pages.

what? that is strange, I tell it to ignore frames and tab around and everything's fine. Sometimes it just will say "gmail" and I've got to refresh, but then it works alright. That is strange though.

hi, I'm glad your problem was resolved, but for those who don't have their XP CD handy like me, and don't know JFW scripting too well, just add the basic view to your favorites, and vuala!

Post 18 by chikorita (move over school!) on Thursday, 13-Mar-2008 0:00:02

yeah that's what i've done, and i've got vista with the vista start menu, so all I have to do is hit the wondows key and type "gmail" and hit enter, and there's my inbox!

I tried adding the basic html view to my favorites, but it keeps reverting back to normal view. Is there something I have to do?

Post 20 by chikorita (move over school!) on Thursday, 13-Mar-2008 17:08:12

hmm, it shouldn't do that, when you go to your basic html favorite it should give you the basic html inbox.

Post 21 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Saturday, 15-Mar-2008 0:22:08

Well mine is being mean and giving me the normal page. Maybe it's a windows XP thing?

I found that they've actually changed the link to the basic html page and when I tried to use the new one as my homepage, it kept returning me to the regular one. so every time I went on there, I'd have to click on basic. I saved the old link and it still works without any problems. Here it is. Note that you won't officially find it on the site.

Hope this helps.
